Dr. Kimberly Meier
"As a woman dentist practicing
for over twenty years, I have become very sensitive and aware
of helping a patient have a painless experience. I will do
everything to help make your experience a good one. Just ask
my husband! He thought that as a kid he was being "chained"
to the dental chair and has deeply embedded memories of going
to the dentist as a child. He now knows that dental work can
be comfortable".
What about Conscious Sedation?
Conscious sedation is an altered state of consciousness, where
you become disassociated with your surroundings. Anxiety levels
and perception of pain are greatly reduced and you become
relaxed and comfortable. Most people "think" they
were asleep because they don't remember the dental appointment.
This is generally done with a sedative medication.
"feeling so self-conscious I never smiled.
I looked down when I talked so others wouldn't see my teeth.
My self image was very low. After years of bad experiences,
I was scared to death. Some dentists would say, "it won't
hurt a bit" and proced to hurt me as tears ran down my
face, never once acknowledging that I was in extreme pain.
I am so grateful to you that this is not the case when I come
in for work on my teeth. I am not even sure what the main
difference is, but one of the biggest is the fact that you
care. You pay attention and respond to my flinching or signaling
that I am in pain. That means the world to me. As for the
incredible change you have made in my smile
well, I can't
even begin to tell you how many times I've looked in the mirror
and cried. These are tears of joy, of happiness, of disbelief.
I am just in shock as to how fantastic my front teeth now
look. A smile, for the first time in a lifetime
Thank
you, thank you, thank you !!!"

"My experience with Dr. Meier has been great.
When I first came to her I had not been to see a dentist in
quite some time and had a lot of anxiety about going. She
was very patient and made sure that I was comfortable with
all of the procedures, yet she never gave me any false impressions
about the importance of dental care. I recently had some cosmetic
dentistry done and am extremely happy with the results! I
am no longer "afraid" to go to the dentist
